One of the quote I liked:
"
Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live the life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
-- Ashley Smith
As I saw our
IndiBlogger, in association with "
The Yahoo Dove Real Beauty Contest" has announced contest "
What does real beauty mean to you?", I really felt pleasure to write something on this so called magical word "
Beauty" which all of us term mostly on this perishing human body, but often forget everlasting beauties like nature, sweet moments, kind words, good deeds, happiness.. as it goes on and on, i would like you to share a story about a person which i read, the story of whom though earned lots of "earthly pleasures" called "Money", still shows the world that you can use the same for the noble cause and give everlasting "Beauty" to all the needy faces on this earth...
Nicolas Berggruen...
Nicolas Berggruen (10 August 1961) was born to Heinz Berggruen and Bettina Moissi in Paris. After completing Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business from New York University, he had hold prestigious jobs in real estate side, leveraged buyout company, investment firm and a holding "Berggruen Holdings, Inc.". His "Berggruen Holdings, Inc." found in 1984, is now net worth at $2.2 billion -- as per the forbes.
Looks like I am "praising" a billionare...!
Yes, after all, we fellow humans like (have tendency) towards wealth and indeed, run behind wealth. But what Mr. Nicolas Berggruen has done to this mankind, might make others learn and experience "Beauty of life" and joys in sharing what you have with the needy in this world...
You might be shocked to know that having earned loads of money via above said buisnesses, Mr. Nicolas, except than his art collections and a car, has given up/donated all his so called "pleasures" and stays in hotels. The words he said below indeed shows "
beauty of life which needs to be enjoyed at the most".
"...for me, possessing things is not that interesting. Living in a grand environment to show myself and others that I have wealth has zero appeal. Whatever I own is temporary, since we're only here for a short period of time. It's what we do and produce; it's our actions that will last forever. That's real value" --

@ The Homeless Billionare -- blogs.wsj.com/wealth/2008/05/19/the-homeless-billionaire/
Major of his earnings were put for the improvent of poorer cities, providing infrastucture and development to the needies, investments in resources, what he called as "Value investing" shows that money can give "beauty to life" when it is used to wipe the tears and bring happiness to the sad and hungry faces...
As the world filled with "People" who boast about their money, their possessions, their richness and "their hidden corruptions", Mr. Nicolas teaches us in a simple way that "
Life's beauty exists in sharing, but not just keeping with yourself... when the happiness is seen on a needy's face, it is much beautiful than the other ones.."
I would like to remember another quote:
“
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” -- Howard Thurman
Though there are many people in this world who keep humanity alive, these small "Little steps" can bring joys, happiness and beauty to our mother earth...
